My top fitness goal is to be strong yet very mobile. I believe this to be true strength. The strong are not always mobile and vice versa. I plan to achieve this goal through a balanced program combined of various types of movements such as Animal Flow, Martial Arts, Gymnastics, and Strength Training.
The biggest obstacle in my fitness journey would be previously being disabled. Recovery has been a slow but steady process, and while I am much better I still have restrictions and limitations that I have to work within so that I do not re-injur myself.I would not say I have overcome it as of yet. Physically no; but spiritually and emotionally yes. With the help of God, doctors, and a great support system I can adjust my goals accordingly until I am able to train the way I used to.
I absolutely love, love, love my infinity ball. It's portable and I can take it anywhere with me. It really gets into the deep layers of fascia that the average foam roller can't get. My clients love it too!!!
As a trainer, I cannot stress enough the importance of corrective exercise and form. It is key in creating and maintaining a solid foundation for your body in order to safely and progressively reach your fitness goals. It will take longer but it will be worth it in the end. Trust me.
